Terms and Conditions

Who we are

These terms apply to impresship.com and to the freight and logistics services arranged through it by Logistics Impressiful (“we”, “us”), serving the UAE and Africa. By requesting a quote or booking a shipment with us, you agree to these terms.

Quotes and bookings

  • Rates and transit times shown on the site and in our guides are typical ranges for planning. A quote becomes binding only when we confirm a booking in writing.
  • Quotes are based on the cargo details you give us. If the actual weight, volume, cargo type or routing differs, the price may change, and we will tell you before proceeding.
  • Carrier surcharges, fuel adjustments and port charges can change between quote and shipment. We pass these on at cost and show them before you confirm.

Your cargo and documents

  • You are responsible for an accurate description of the goods, including contents, value, weight and HS classification, and for supplying the commercial invoice, packing list and any permits the destination requires.
  • We do not carry prohibited, restricted or dangerous goods unless they have been declared and accepted in writing with the correct documentation.
  • Delays, storage, demurrage or penalties caused by inaccurate declarations or missing documents are charged to the shipper or consignee.

Carriers, duties and insurance

  • Ocean and air carriage is performed by shipping lines and airlines under their own bill of lading or air waybill terms, which also apply to your shipment.
  • Import duties, taxes and destination clearance charges are payable by the consignee unless we have agreed in writing to include them. Duty figures we provide are estimates; the destination customs authority makes the final assessment.
  • Cargo insurance is not included unless you ask us to arrange it and it is shown on your booking. We recommend insuring goods for their full value.

Delays and liability

  • Transit times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, port congestion, customs inspections, weather or other events outside our control, but we will keep you informed and help resolve them.
  • Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the extent permitted by UAE law and the international conventions and carrier terms that apply to the shipment.
  • Report any loss or damage in writing as soon as the cargo is received, so we can file a timely claim with the carrier.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on your booking confirmation. We may hold or not release cargo until agreed charges are paid.
